Selbermachen: Von der Pflicht zur Kür
The last Burg-sewing weekend had shown some of my not so nice parts. Codeword: Shirring!
After 7 hours of swearing and broken nerves I returned with two jump suits for my daughters.
Too small.
Only thing: my older daughter fell in love with the fabric and asked again and again „what about the jump suit…“
So I need a solution – a shirring free and good to my nerves one.
After one hour elastic thread removing everything else worked pretty well: I made a kind of high stretchy waistband in a contrast fabric, added 4 pleats to F and B to handle the enormous width of the pants and readded the straps.
Result: mother and kid very happy.
